Concrete Flatwork

Concrete cracks. The trade is making it crack where you told it to. We form true, pour at the right thickness on compacted base, finish for the traffic the slab will see, and cut control joints on a plan instead of hoping. Broom finish for grip outdoors, and air entrained mix because this is Connecticut, not Arizona.

Sidewalks, aprons, slabs, and pads

Residential sidewalks and city walk replacement, driveway aprons, garage and shed slabs, equipment pads, and stair landings. We handle layout, forming, pour, finish, and joint cutting, plus haul off of the old concrete when it's a replacement.

Repairs and replacement

Settled walk panels, surfaces spalled by salt, aprons breaking up at the street: we replace bad panels to match the existing work and correct the base underneath so the new panel doesn't follow the old one down.

Concrete questions, answered

Concrete or pavers?

Concrete is the budget workhorse and the right call for garage slabs and city sidewalks. Pavers cost more up front but handle freeze-thaw better and repair invisibly. We install both. The estimate will show you the honest cost difference for your project.

When can I use the new slab?

Foot traffic in a day or two, vehicles typically after a week, full design strength at 28 days. We leave you cure and salt use guidance in writing so the first winter doesn't undo the work.
